UFC president Dana White apparently didn't take the request for José Aldo for release from his contract. The manager classified the Brazilian's attitude as “a little ridiculous” and assured that he will find him another fight next for the interim champion.

Aldo hoped to have a rematch with Conor McGregor in his next fight, including public promises from White. However, the organization changed its mind and offered the Irishman a fight for the lightweight belt in November against Eddie Alvarez. The decision frustrated Aldo, who, citing lack of motivation, asked to have his agreement with the UFC terminated.
White showed little concern in the case and assured that everything will be resolved. “José Aldo and I will get together, probably next week, and talk about it. I think he's being a little ridiculous. I’m going to give him a fight”, commented the manager, in an interview with the “UFC Tonight” program, on the North American broadcaster “FOX Sports”.
The UFC president explained that several fighters who want a fight with McGregor will eventually be frustrated. “If you look at the featherweight division, it is full. [Max] Holloway is ready, Anthony Pettis is in the category… There are a lot of talented guys that he [Aldo] can face. I can’t get McGregor to fight everyone,” he added.
