Considered one of the biggest names in UFC history, Anderson Silva commented on the disagreement between José Aldo with the biggest MMA organization on the planet. For “Spider”, Aldo is right to be upset with his bosses, but he recognized that Ultimate also has its reasons to benefit Conor McGregor.

Aldo, who was hoping to get a rematch with McGregor, was unhappy to hear the news that the Irishman would move up a category to face Eddie Alvarez next month, with his eyes on the lightweight belt. The Brazilian was outraged by the decision and asked the UFC to terminate his contract, since, without the chance to compete for the linear featherweight belt, he does not have the motivation to continue competing.

Anderson considered that McGregor has the necessary commercial appeal to be heard in important decisions. “José Aldo I deserved this fight, yes, but come on. This is all business. They [UFC] are not concerned with what is deserved or not. It is already proven by Dana White's attitudes that he is not worried about deserving or not deserving. McGregor is the best deal in the UFC today. We don't have anyone with the ability to make noise like he has now. What he has done is what he is making, in a way, the business spin. And he’s not wrong, he’s thinking about his business,” he said, in an interview with the website “UOL”.

Furthermore, “Spider” also stated that, regardless of the reasons, fighters need to fulfill what is in the contract. “Of course there are discontents. Aldo has his, I have mine... Everyone knows how far they can fight for what they think is right. But it's worth remembering that we have a contract, we signed it. We agree with everything that is there. We have to end up accepting it, not because it is imposed, but because it is in the contract. We have to do our part”, he pondered.
