the return of Wanderlei Silva to the octagon was not the way the Brazilian fighter and his fans expected. Out of action since February last year due to a serious knee injury, Wand faced the American Chris Leben, this Saturday (2), at UFC 132, but it ended knocked out in just 27 seconds of fight.
One day after the setback, the former Pride champion did not hide his disappointment, but thanked the fans for their support.
“Sorry guys,” said Silva, via Twitter. “Those who have friends are never alone. One of the worst days of my life, but you, those who are truly my friends, are making it pass. Thank you”, he added.
