UFC president Dana White denied rumors that a fight between the former champions Anderson Silva e Georges St Pierre would be about to be announced as the main attraction of UFC 206, an event that takes place on December 10, in Toronto, Canada.

The rumor gained strength last weekend, mainly thanks to two different messages on social media. First, Patrick Cotê, UFC fighter and GSP's training partner, posted on Twitter that there was a rumor about the fight for the Canadian event.
Later, the son of Anderson Silva, Kalyl, posted a photo on her Instagram of her father next to St. Pierre, with the caption: “Christmas month promises to be exciting.”
However, White made a point of clarifying that the rumor is unfounded. "This is not true. It's not true at all. I know many people keep talking, but GSP is not even close [to returning]. I tell you again: I don't think GSP wants to fight. He wasn't crazy about fighting even when he was fighting. Now, three years later, is he dying to fight? No he is not. This fight will definitely not happen”, he explained, in an interview with the English television channel “BT Sport”.
Anderson and St. Pierre are two of the greatest champions in UFC history. The Brazilian remained at the top of the middleweight division between 2006 and 2013, while the Canadian commanded the welterweight division between 2006 and 2007 and between 2008 and 2013. UFC 206 already has a highlighted fight confirmed, between Anthony Johnson e Daniel Cormier for the light heavyweight belt.
