The controversial treatment was banned in MMA in 2014, and since then, Belfort has had three fights, with two losses and one victory. Mousasi considers that the end of TRT changed his physical characteristics, which, consequently, affected his performance inside the octagon.

“I think, physically, he's not the same guy anymore. Not mentally, either. But, after struggling with TRT for a while and now having to go without, you will adapt. Maybe he adapted to fighting without TRT. I feel he is less explosive and his physical conditioning has worsened. At his age, TRT definitely helps, so let's see which one Vitor belfort we’ll see on Saturday”, he said, in an interview with the “MMA Weekly” website.

Mousasi, 31 years old, comes from two consecutive victories, against the Brazilians Thales leites e Thiago Marreta. The duel with Belfort will be the second most important fight at UFC 204, in Manchester, England.
