The Oregon Athletic Commission, responsible for regulating UFC Portland, held last Saturday (01), announced the suspensions of the 24 fighters who performed at the event. Of the six Brazilians present, John Lineker, who defeated John Dodson on points in the main fight of the night, he was the one who received the longest suspension: 30 days, 21 of which were banned from training with physical contact. Dodson, in turn, received only seven days' sentence.
The other Brazilians on the show – Alex Cowboy, Hacran Dias, Elizeu Capoeira, Luis Henrique Frankenstein and Ketlen Scallop – also received the minimum suspension and can return to training in a week. The longest sentence went to the American Will Brooks, knocked out by 'Cowboy' in the second most important fight of the night. With a fractured rib suffered during the fight, Brooks, who was taken to the hospital shortly after the battle, will be suspended indefinitely until reports are presented and doctors are released.
