A new high-profile MMA event will make its debut on November 4th. Created by Globo actor Bruno Gagliasso, Fight2Night will hold its first edition at Marina da Glória, with the aim of not only entertaining the public present but also revealing new talents in the sport.
Gagliasso, a longtime MMA fan and one of the columnists on the UFC website in Brazil, launched the initiative alongside his father-in-law, architect Roberto Baldaconni. “I travel a lot to watch tournaments, and I missed the entertainment in the world of fighting. So we created a show. We still want to help reveal new talents, but I'll stop there. I’m not going to manage any fighter”, said Bruno, in an interview with the website “ Veja Rio”.
The first Fight2Night event will feature a show by Marcelo D2, in addition to performances by several DJs. Inside the cage, the highlight will be the fight between former UFC fighters Thiago Silva and Rameau Thierry Sokoudjou, as well as Leonardo Leite x Danny Mitchell, also with experience in Ultimate.
