It wasn't this time that Antonio Pezão won again in the UFC. In the fourth fight on the main card of UFC Brasilia, held this Saturday (24), the Brazilian was knocked out by Roy Nelson in the second round of the fight, accumulating his third consecutive negative result. With six defeats and just one victory in the last eight duels he has played, Pezão is at serious risk of dismissal. Nelson, in turn, overcame his bad phase and won again after being defeated by Derrick Lewis, last July. After the fight ended, Nelson, angry because he thought referee Big John McCarthy took too long to stop the fight, kicked Big John and could be punished for his action (watch the video below).

Eric Spicely surprises and submits Thiago Marreta

The first upset of the night was the fight between middleweights Thiago Marreta and Eric Spicely. A big favorite, Marreta was easily dominated by his rival's ground game and ended up being finished. Godofredo Pepey runs over rival at the opening of the main card

In the fight that opened the main card of UFC Brasilia, featherweight Geoffrey Pepey recovered from the recent defeat to Darren Elkins running over the American Mike De La Torre. With a great striking and sharp jiu-jitsu, the TUF Brazil 1 finalist scored his fifth victory in the organization and once again dreams of being in the top 15 of the category. As a bonus, he imitated Conor McGregor in the post-fight celebration, by climbing the railing and pretending to be “counting and throwing money notes”, just as the Irishman did after knocking out José Aldo in December 2015.
