Chael Sonnen shoots Anderson Silva
Chael Sonnen is away from MMA for an indefinite period, due to doping problems, but that didn't stop the controversial fighter from returning to attack his old rival: the Brazilian Anderson Silva. This Wednesday, the North American used his Twitter to criticize the athlete from Paraná, and even called the current UFC middleweight champion “effeminate”.
“It’s difficult to respond to Anderson (Silva). He is so effeminate that nothing can be worse than what God has already done to him”, said Sonnen. “He (Anderson) hasn’t had a real fight since against Forrest griffin (at UFC 101), which is as remarkable as having your hand held by a stripper”, added the controversial fighter.
The North American's attacks are a response to an interview with Anderson Silva to the newspaper “O Globo”, last Sunday (29), where the Brazilian criticized Yushin Okami, his next rival, at UFC Rio, as part of his training with Sonnen.
“You (Okami) have to look for the best person to train you, and I think he chose poorly. I would never align myself with a loser. Loser in every way. He didn’t win the fight, he was caught doping, he’s being sued for several things and he’s suspended from the UFC,” said Anderson.
The rivalry between Anderson Silva e Chael Sonnen it is old. The two starred in the main fight of UFC 117, and the North American dominated the confrontation during the five rounds, but ended up finishing with a triangle with just over a minute remaining in the duel.
