But before debuting on Canadian soil, Falcão will compete for the Centurion MMA under-84 kg belt in the second edition of the Brazilian event, which will be held on July 9 in the Santa Catarina city of Itajaí. The former UFC fighter's opponent for the Centurion MMA title is expected to be announced in the coming days by the organization's management.

The Colosseo Fighting Championship has been promoting events since 2007 and promises to bring back the rules used in the extinct PRIDE. Next month, the organization will hold its first edition, where stomps and knees to the head will be used when the opponent is on the ground, moves that have marked the history of the Japanese event. It still remains to be decided by event managers whether these rules will be used in subsequent editions of the show.
