Rampage apologizes for performance at UFC 130

Rampage attacks Matt Hamill

The main fight of UFC 130, between Rampage Jackson and Matt Hamill, was below expectations for the public who attended the event held on Saturday night (28), in Las Vegas. Despite leaving the octagon with victory, Rampage acknowledged the poor performance and justified his performance due to a hand injury.

“He (Matt Hamill) is a tough guy and I tried to knock him out, but I fought with a fractured hand. Even so, I came to fight for you and I apologize for not getting the knockout,” said Jackson. “He (Hamill) is a good fighter, he came with a good strategy. I tried to make the fight exciting, but the guy is tough and I couldn't do it” added the former champion, who took the win with a unanimous decision from the judges.

PUBLICITY:

Despite the public's dissatisfaction after the fight, with the triumph against Matt Hamill, Quinton Rampage Jackson, who has four victories in the last five appearances, becomes the main candidate to challenge the champion Jon Jones for the organization's light heavyweight belt.
