North American Alex Nicholson is being investigated by the UFC for an alleged attack on his fiancée in a '7-Eleven' franchise store last May. At the time, Alex was arrested and released shortly, but the process did not go ahead due to the fact that the victim did not attend the trial in the case, scheduled for August. In a statement, Ultimate declared to the website 'MMA Fighting' (USA) that the company's lawyers are analyzing the situation.

“The UFC conducted a review of the case in question and noted that the Florida State Attorney's Office decided not to pursue the case against Alex Nicholson. The UFC takes allegations of domestic violence very seriously and will pass all information to a law firm. UFC is committed to exploring all allegations and taking appropriate action following a third-party investigation,” the company statement said.
According to the Florida police report, the fighter allegedly dragged his fiancee out of the establishment and threw her on the ground. Witnesses assured that Nicholson had to be removed from the woman by other people who were at the scene. The victim's name was not revealed and did not want to comment on the episode.
Alex gained prominence in MMA after Proposing to his then-girlfriend during a UFC weigh-in, in February this year. 'The Spartan', as he is known, has a duel scheduled against Sam alvey for UFC Fight Night 97, on October 15th, and has already had two fights in the UFC, with one win and one loss. In total, he has seven triumphs and two setbacks in his professional record.
