Amanda nunes celebrates knockout on his Strikeforce debut
The Brazilian Amanda nunes He already has a date and opponent set to return to the Strikeforce Octagon. The athlete born in Salvador, Bahia, will face the North American julie kedzie, in a duel scheduled to take place on June 18, in Dallas, in the United States. The fight was confirmed this Saturday morning (21), through an official statement from the organization.
Amanda, who is also known as “Leoa dos Ringes”, debuted in Strikeforce in January this year, with a devastating knockout over julia budd, when she took the American to the ground in just 14 seconds of fighting. Now, the Brazilian, who has a professional record of six wins and just one loss, will try to score her second Strikeforce triumph. Kedzie, on the other hand, is more experienced and has a record of 16 wins and eight losses. In his last performance, the pupil of Greg Jackson, coach of names like Jon Jones e Georges St Pierre, defeated Kaitlin Young in the unanimous decision of the judges, in a duel held in April.
In addition to the return of Amanda nunes to Strikeforce, the June edition of the event features as its main attraction the continuation of the organization's heavyweight GP, where Brazilian Fabrício Werdum will try to get into the semi-finals against the tough Dutchman alistair overeem. Another Brazilian on the fight program will be Gesias Cavalcante who will face off against Justin Wilcox.
