Antonio Carlos Shoe Face, winner of TUF Brasil 3, arrived at the UFC full of expectations, largely due to his good performances on the reality show 'The Ultimate Fighter'. However, the results were not repeated in Ultimate, and the fighter won only two of the five fights he had in the organization – he accumulated two defeats and one unsuccessful fight. Back in the octagon next Saturday (17) when he will face Leonardo Leleco at UFC Fight Night 94, an event taking place in Hidalgo, in the United States, the 26-year-old already knows the recipe to get back on the path to victory.

After not achieving the expected results in his two most recent appearances – he had an unsuccessful fight against Kevin Casey after an accidental poke in the eye, just 11 seconds into the fight and was knocked out by Dan Kelly afterwards -, Sapato guarantees that he has evolved in all areas of his game, and points out that we train at América Top Team, a gym located in the state of Florida (USA), as essential in its development.

“I've evolved a lot in the last few months, especially in wrestling, but also in striking and MMA as a whole. The main difference of being part of a big gym is being able to count on great athletes from all disciplines in my preparation, so I feel at this moment that I am really improving a lot and I am very prepared for this fight”, declared the Brazilian.

When asked about facing another Brazilian, Antonio admitted he didn't really like facing his compatriots, but joked about the fact that he had a positive record. “Until today, I have always done well against Brazilians, so it would be good to continue like this. But I prefer to fight guys from another country. Even more so because Leleco is from Bahia, and I have a foot in Bahia, even though I'm from Paraíba. It’s sad, but it’s our job, and all I have to do is do my best,” he concluded.
