Fabricio Werdum achieved an important victory in his title claims on Saturday night (10), when he defeated Travis Browne at UFC 203. However, his participation in the event was overshadowed by confusion moments after his fight, and the Brazilian himself gave his version of the facts.

At the end of the fight, Werdum argued with Edmond Tarverdyan, Browne's boxing trainer. The Brazilian even kicked Tarverdyan, which almost caused a full-blown fight in the octagon (watch the video below).

Werdum explained that his attitude was just a reaction to the aggression shown by Browne's coach. “His coach came over and started yelling, 'Shut your mouth, motherfucker.' Cursing me is fine, but cursing my mother is not. I just wanted to keep my distance. I didn't even kick him, I just kept my distance. I know he's a boxing trainer and I saw in his eyes that he wanted to punch me in the face. But he was the one who came to tell me a lot of bad things. My mother taught me not to do this to others, but he started it”, commented the Brazilian.

In addition to Browne, Tarverdyan is also the coach of Werdum's victim's girlfriend, the former champion Ronda Rousey. It was the second time that Werdum faced Browne: in April 2014, the Brazilian also won the unanimous decision of the judges.
