José Aldo: “Whoever has a soft head will fall”

UFC 129, an event that will take place next Saturday in Toronto, features two title fights and two Brazilians in action on its fight program. But before the athletes entered the octagon, they faced the microphones this Wednesday afternoon at the last press conference before the show.

Defending the organization's featherweight title, the Manauara José Aldo will measure forces against the local athlete Mark hominick. The Brazilian fighter, who was known for impressive knockouts in his career, showed a lot of calm and visible shyness in front of reporters. When asked about going almost unnoticed at the conference, the black belt was direct in his response and said that the important thing is his presentation next Saturday.

PUBLICITY:

“I don’t know that, but the important thing is right there (in the octagon),” said Aldo, succinctly. Already Mark hominick, who will play at home, stated that he is more technical than the Brazilian in stand-up fighting and can win the fight.

PUBLICITY:

“I think I'm a little more technical with my hands and he's a little more explosive with his knees and kicks,” Hominick said comparing his game to Aldo's. “We have the ability to end the fight quickly. It will be exciting”, said the Canadian.

Soon after Ed Soares, Aldo's interpreter and manager, translated Hominick's statements, Aldo, without blinking, fired.

PUBLICITY:

“We will see that in time, according to each person’s strategy. Whoever has the softest head will fall”, concluded the Brazilian.
