Rockhold lost the middleweight title in June when he was knocked out by Michael Bisping at UFC 199. Since then, the athlete has received invitations to migrate to the world fashion, which even created the possibility of participating in New York Fashion Week, between September 8th and 15th.

The North American expressed his desire to continue competing professionally in MMA, but made it clear that the opportunities must make sense in financial terms. “I definitely want to fight, I want to get back there and have my chance [to get the belt back]. So it's about getting the right fight to pursue, one that's worth it. I'm not going to go up there and put my body at risk if I can be paid a lot more in this [modeling] world. So, if it's worth it, I'd love to go back. It's what I love to do, but it needs to make sense. I'm a fighter, but I need to get paid. We are talking about big numbers, so I could laugh and wait for the right moment to come back, in a fight that makes sense”, commented Rockhold, in an interview with the podcast “The MMA Hour”.

Rockhold, 31, won the UFC title in December 2015, when he defeated Chris Weidman. However, he lost the belt in his first defense. In total, the athlete has a professional record of 18 wins and three losses.
