The Brazilian Rafael Sapo He already has a date and opponent set for his return to the UFC Octagon. On August 6th, the black belt will face the Japanese Riki Fukuda in the 133rd edition of the organization, which will be held in the city of Philadelphia, United States.
Sapo was hired by the UFC in July 2010 and, since then, has had two fights at the event. After a draw and a defeat, the Tupiniquim athlete seeks his first victory in the Ultimate to eliminate the possibility of dismissal from the organization. Sapo's last fight took place at UFC 124, where the fighter drew with the American Jesse Bongfeldt in December last year.
Fukuda is a former DEEP middleweight champion. In the Japanese's record of 17 wins and five losses, his victory over the Brazilian stands out Murilo Ninja at DREAM 8, which took place in 2009. The Japanese fighter is coming off a defeat in his UFC debut against the Canadian Nick ring in February this year at UFC 127.
In addition to the fight between Sapo and Fukuda, UFC 133 also has two more fights confirmed on its card. Check out the matches already defined below:
Jorge Rivera x Alessio Sakara
Michael McDonald x Nick Pace
Rafael Sapo x Riki Fukuda
