Amanda Nunes exchanges barbs with possible title challenger

UFC bantamweight champion responded to Julianna Pena's provocations on Twitter; Brazilian does not yet have a defined opponent

Nunes was direct in her response, stating that “the decision did not depend on her”. In her rejoinder, Julianna told the Brazilian to “make the fight happen”, but was retorted again. “Everyone knows I’m the champion. Proving yourself as a challenger is your obligation”, she told the “Leone”.

Afterwards, the Venezuelan challenged Amanda again. “Hey, champ, why don’t you try to be the first to beat me and face the only undefeated girl in the UFC, ME?”, who only responded that “now that everyone knows that the Ronda Rousey She’s not coming back, I’d love to face her.”

Amanda nunes became UFC champion by submitting Miesha Tate in the main fight of UFC 200, held in July (9).
