the american Joe stevenson will begin his career as a UFC featherweight on June 26th. The fighter was confirmed today (04) on the UFC on Versus 4 card, where he will face the Cuban Javier Vazquez in the city of Pittsburgh, United States.
Stevenson is on a three-fight losing streak as a lightweight. The North American's bad phase in the under-70 kg category began in February last year, when he was defeated by the Australian George Sotyropoulos at UFC 110. Since then, Stevenson has accumulated two more defeats against his compatriots Mac danzig, at UFC 124, and danny castillo, at UFC on Versus 3.
Vazquez comes from the now-defunct WEC and will debut in the UFC after the merger between the organizations at the beginning of this year. Specialist in submissions, the Cuban comes from a defeat to the North American Chad Mendes at WEC 52, which took place last November.
