The doping case involving Jon Jones may soon have a curious development. According to the UFC middleweight champion, Michael Bisping, the American fighter failed an exam carried out in June for having ingested a sexual stimulant.

Jones was scheduled to headline UFC 200 last month, but was removed from the show in the run-up to it after falling in a test carried out weeks before. However, the president of Ultimate, Dana White, recently stated that the athlete could be cleared of the case, as he had ingested the banned substances (in this case, estrogen blockers) unintentionally.
In a conversation with “Sirius XM” radio, Bisping revealed what would be the details of the case. “As a champion, I hear things. Cialis, is that what it's called? He took Cialis, but a generic version. It was not the branded version, but a generic version that contained estrogen blockers. Therefore, this is what he took, which could result in a lighter punishment”, commented the English fighter. Jones and his team, on the other hand, did not provide any further details about the case.
In 2015, another big name in MMA failed a doping test and, in his defense, claimed to have ingested a sexual stimulant. Anderson Silva, who tested positive for anabolic steroids at UFC 183, revealed that he ingested the substances after drinking a liquid brought by a friend from Thailand.
