McGregor, Diaz and their teams waged a real war during the meeting with the press. The athletes exchanged insults and threw bottles and cans at each other (watch the video below).
To the North American website “MMA Fighting”, the UFC confirmed the ban on its teams. McGregor and Diaz will only be able to be accompanied by their corners, which includes around three or four people. Other coaches and training partners will not be able to occupy the event facilities.
According to the executive director of the Nevada Athletic Commission, Bob Bennett, the matter will be studied and may undergo a future trial. UFC president Dana White believes that the punishment could be even heavier for both. “Both will be punished. Everyone needs to understand that we are being overseen by the Nevada Commission. I guarantee you that they will both receive heavy fines. There may even be suspension or mandatory community service. It’s going to be ugly”, said the leader, to the North American website “TMZ”.
McGregor and Diaz will face each other for the second time this Saturday night, in Las Vegas (USA). In the first fight between the two, the North American won by submission in the second round.
