CM Punk comments on his MMA debut: 'I've never been so confident in my life'

Telecatch star, who will have his first fight in the UFC, says he is having fun like never before during training

A large part of the public that follows MMA has suspicious expectations regarding CM Punk's debut in the UFC. The former telecatch star, who has never competed in professional fights, goes against the grain: he is more confident than ever for the fight he will have against Mickey gall, In September.

CM Punk, 37 years old, has no doubt that he will win the fight on September 10th, at UFC 203. “Honestly, I'm not assuming that I'm going to win. I vou win. I have never been more confident in something in my entire life,” he said, in an interview with the North American radio station “Hot 97”.

The new MMA athlete admits that his preparation was difficult, despite being fun. “I wish I could fight tomorrow. I feel incredible. You feel all drained in the middle of the week, so you need to learn how to balance things. It's difficult, but I love it, which makes everything almost easy. I'm having fun like never before. [After the fight] I'll probably sit on the beach for a while, take a vacation with my wife, but I'll get bored quickly and want to move on. I’ll want to book my second fight as soon as I can,” he commented.

CM Punk's opponent, Mickey gall, is 24 years old and has already had two professional MMA fights, with two victories. One of them, in fact, was in the UFC: in February, he defeated Mike Jackson with a quick submission.
