After suffering two consecutive defeats and considering retirement, the Russian Fedor Emelianenko can change categories to return to MMA. Considered the greatest heavyweight of all time, the former Pride champion revealed, in an interview with the English magazine Fighters Only Magazine, the possibility of moving down to the light heavyweight division and competing for the Strikeforce title against the North American Dan Henderson, who knocked out the Brazilian Rafael Feijão last Saturday (5th).
In an interview with MMA Junkie radio, Henderson indicated that his opponent could leave the fight between Gegard Mousasi and Mike Kyle, but showed interest in the fight against Fedor.
“He is still one of the best in the world, it would be a great challenge”, analyzed Hendo.
In his 11-year heavyweight career, Fedor Emelianenko he had 31 wins, three losses and one No Contest. Among his main achievements are the Rings GP titles, in 2001, and Pride, in 2004, in addition to the heavyweight belts from Pride and Affliction itself.
