Once again a UFC event loses a fight at the last minute. Justin Scoggins, who would open the main card of UFC 201, this Saturday (30), against Ian McCall, had problems with his weight cut and was cut from the attraction.

According to reports from the website “Bloody Elbow”, Scoggins was unable to drop more than 60 kg, almost three more than the limit for the flyweight division.

s. Even though the North American didn't feel sick, the fight was removed from the card, as it was too big a difference for a catchweight fight to be agreed upon.

Speaking to the “MMA Junkie” website, Scoggins stated that he should move up to bantamweight (61,2 kg) in his next fight. McCall will be kept at UFC 201 as a kind of substitute, in case another fighter in his category is unable to perform, and should receive his payment normally.

This way, the duel between Ryan Benoit and Fredy Serrano was promoted to the main card. UFC 201 takes place this Saturday (30), in Atlanta (USA), with the main highlight being Robbie Lawler x Tyron woodley for the welterweight belt.
