The Brazilian Ricardo Demente received a two-year suspension from the United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) for being caught in a surprise test in June.
Demente, who arrived at the UFC after participating in TUF Brasil 3 in 2014, had two anabolic substances detected in his body: norandrosterone and noretiocholanolone. Therefore, the Brazilian will have to stay away from the octagon until July 1, 2018.
Demente, 32 years old, was a semi-finalist in TUF Brasil 3. After that, the athlete had two fights in Ultimate, with a victory over Wagner Gomes and a setback against Jake collier.
To date, four fighters have received two-year suspensions from USADA after failing drug tests. The others are Chad Mendes, Gleison Tibau and Mirko Cro Cop.
