After debuting with victory in the UFC, the Brazilian Rani Yaya will step back into the organization’s Octagon on June 11th. In a confrontation between two fighters from the extinct WEC, the tough guy will face the North American Dustin poirier at UFC 131, an edition that will be based in the city of Vancouver, Canada.
Yahya arrived under pressure in the UFC after two consecutive defeats in his career, but he recovered by defeating Mike Brown in the unanimous decision of the judges in a valid fight for the UFC Fight for the Troops 2. In turn, Poirier also comes from a victory in his debut in Ultimate when overcoming Josh Grispi in the unanimous decision of the judges in the 125th edition of the event.
In addition to Yahya, two more Brazilians are confirmed for UFC 131. Junior Gypsy will face Brock Lesnar to define who will be the next challenger for the heavyweight belt, while Diego nunes will have ahead Kenny Florian in the American's debut in the featherweight category.
