The duel in the octagon was quick. In her first title defense, Miesha seemed cautious, aware of her opponent's weapons. The American was waiting for the right moment to take the fight to the ground, which she tried to do in the middle of the round – without success.

As the fight remained ongoing, Amanda little by little imposed her game. The Bahian landed good punches on Miesha's face, which caused profuse bleeding from the champion's nose. The “Lioness”, as she is known, went for it with her eyes on victory, which caused Miesha to fall to the ground. On the ground, the Brazilian was quick: she took her back, locked in a rear naked choke and gave Miesha no alternative but to give the “three taps” to give up.

Thus, the female bantamweight category, once dominated by Ronda Rousey, meets its fourth champion in just over a semester. In November 2015, Holly holm he knocked out Ronda to take the title, but lost to Miesha in his first defense, in March. Tate, then, is yet another champion in the category to lose the belt in her first defense.

The giant is back! In his first MMA fight since December 2011, Brock Lesnar derrotou Mark Hunt and showed that he is fully capable of being among the main fighters in the UFC heavyweight division.

Lesnar showed more sense of strategy than he had in several of the fights during his first stint in the Octagon. Aware of Hunt's great knockout power, the American was waiting for the right time to pounce and take the fight to the ground.

Two minutes into the fight, Lesnar went all in on Hunt's legs, who, despite some resistance, was “nailed” to the stage. The former champion worked with strikes, but the round ended before he could do any more damage.

Lesnar reached the second round looking more tired, which prevented him from applying his takedowns. However, in the final round, Lesnar survived a blitz from Hunt to take down, which left him in a position of great dominance until the end of the 15 minutes of action.

Without any major scares, Lensar got his first victory in the Octagon since July 2010. Hunt suffers yet another defeat after two consecutive knockouts.
