In an interview with the website 'Mídia News', Rafael 'Feijão' explained the situation and denied attacking the boy. According to the athlete, one of the boys said he would 'shoot him in the face', in addition to promising to wait for him outside the club after he defended his friend.

“My friend, who was in the same box, was approached by two boys and one of them held her arm tightly. She was refusing to talk to him. At that moment, I intervened, telling him not to hold the girl. Then, I pushed him and he threatened me, saying he was going to shoot me in the face. At that moment, the security guards took him away from me and he said that he had a police friend, and that he would wait for me outside the club. In reality, what happened was an attack on the woman, due to the aggressive approach of the two boys and their attempt to intimidate me, threatening to shoot me in the face. At no point did I attack the boy, because if I had done that, he would have been very hurt,” said Feijão.
