Naga New England, one of the most traditional grappling competitions in the United States, held another edition of its event last weekend. The competition featured more than 1500 athletes and was highlighted by the return to the mats of Team Link's leader, Brazilian Marco Alvan. The black belt proved to be in shape and won the title in 2011
“My last competition was the New York Open in 2009, but the competition team motivated me and I ended up signing up. Competing alongside these kids feels like it rejuvenates you and in the end still winning a belt was a wonderful result,” Alvan told the website SUPER FIGHTS. The black belt commented that in addition to him, the team won five more titles.
“In the end we took home six belts! Team Link was the team champion and the idea is to continue working hard to maintain the results”, he added
