Police find car used in fatal hit-and-run of ex-UFC fighter

The Police Department of the city of Edmonton, Canada, confirmed that it found the vehicle suspected of being used in the fatal collision of former UFC fighter Ryan Jimmo, last weekend.

The car, a dark-colored pickup truck, was located and subsequently sent to forensics, who will carry out all the necessary procedures to confirm whether it was in fact the vehicle used in the episode. Although the case is being investigated as a homicide, no person has been identified as a potential suspect.

Furthermore, the Edmonton police officially confirmed that Jimmo was, in fact, the fatal victim of the incident. Identification had not been made, but, after the autopsy, the fighter's identity was confirmed.

In the early hours of last Sunday (26), Jimmo was reportedly involved in an argument with the occupants of the dark truck. The fighter left his car and went to the other vehicle to talk to the occupants, but when he returned, he was intentionally run over.

PUBLICITY:

Jimmo had seven fights in the UFC between 2012 and 2015, with three wins and four losses. His last fight in the organization was in May last year, when he ended up losing to Brazilian Francimar Bodão in Goiânia.
