Ronaldo Jacare was one of the highlights of the Olympic torch passing through the city of Manaus, in Amazonas, last weekend. The UFC fighter was one of the leaders of the ceremony and received ample encouragement from the public present.
Jacaré was born in Vila Velha, Espírito Santo, but moved to Amazonas at a young age. Precisely for this reason, the athlete has great popularity locally, which was seen in his participation in the Tour da Tocha.
Very excited about the opportunity, Jacaré was the penultimate torchbearer, and from the beginning he interacted with the public. The athlete reciprocated the affection received by singing the song “I am Brazilian, with lots of pride, with lots of love”.
At the moment, Jacaré is waiting for the chance to fight for the UFC middleweight (84 kg) belt. He comes from victory over Vitor belfort at UFC 198, in Curitiba, in May, and has already expressed his desire to face the current weight champion, Michael Bisping.
