American bettor Dave Oancea really sees fights for the UFC women's bantamweight belt as a great opportunity to make money. After already pocketing real jackpots in fights, Ronda Rousey x Holly holm e Miesha Tate x Holly holm, this time he went further: he bet no less than US$1 million on the fight between Miesha and the Brazilian Amanda nunes, at UFC 200, in July.

Oancea himself, or “Vegas Dave”, as he is known, revealed that he had made the bet. On his Instagram account, the American said that he had never done anything like this. “This will be the biggest sports bet in history, and I have already found a place that approved this bet. No, it's not a Las Vegas sports venue. I will post the ticket as I always do before the fight,” he wrote.

In November 2015, Oancea bet US$20 and took home US$240 when he predicted Holm's victory over Rousey at UFC 193; months later, he pocketed another US$300 by betting US$77 on Miesha's victory over Holm herself, at UFC 196. Now, as it will be a bet outside the conventional mold, it is not yet known how much Oancea would take home if in fact Miesha defeats Amanda at UFC 200.

The fight will be Miesha's first title defense in the UFC. The duel between her and Amanda will make up the historic main card of UFC 200, which will also feature Jon Jones x Daniel Cormier, Brock Lesnar x Mark Hunt, José Aldo x Frankie Edgar, Among others.
