Buscapé fights hard, but loses by judges' decision at UFC Fight NIght 89

In a balanced duel over 15 minutes, the Canadian prevailed in a split decision from the judges

Jason Saggo x Leandro BuscapeLeandro Buscapé from São Paulo fought a tough fight, but ended up defeated on the preliminary card of UFC Fight NIght 89, an event held this Saturday night (18), in Ottawa, Canada. The show's only country representative was beaten by Canadian Jason Saggo in a split decision by the judges.

The Brazilian started the fight by taking the initiative with good kicks at his rival. But in one of these attacks, Saggo managed to hold Buscapé's leg and take the fight to the ground. On top, the Canadian took half guard and managed to land good punches on Leandro. The São Paulo native only managed to leave the ground in the final minute of the partial, but with no time to react.

In the second round, Buscapé came back ready to make up for the difference from the previous round. He combined kicks and punches and threatened his rival. In turn, Saggo was dangerous on the counterattack. In the final seconds, Leandro still took down his rival and ended the partial on top.

In the third round the duel was once again balanced. Saggo came back and managed to land a good left cross on Leandro, pressing the Brazilian against the bars. In turn, Buscapé couldn't land the combinations that were important in the previous part and just called his rival into the fight.

In the final 30 seconds, Buscapé blocked a shot from Saggo and took the contest to the ground. However, he wasted some time trying to pass the guard and only went on the attack in the final 10 seconds, where he managed to land a few punches, but without the strength to turn the fight around.
