One of the greatest names in the history of sport, Muhammad Ali is in serious condition at a hospital in Phoenix, in the US state of Arizona. And, according to information obtained by the English newspaper “Daily Mirror”, the former boxer's family has already been warned that Ali's battle for life is “close to the end”.

Ali, 74 years old, was hospitalized on Thursday (2) due to respiratory problems, which had complications due to the fact that the former athlete had Parkinson's disease. According to the “Daily Mirror”, doctors studied the possibility of transferring him to another, better equipped hospital, but the plan was aborted due to fears that Ali would not survive transport.
“Just like in the ring, Ali is a fighter inside. Doctors are working to regulate his breathing, which has been hampered by his Parkinson's. His children are extremely worried and dropped everything to be with him. They fear the worst.
