The UFC faced some setbacks over the past year, with the cancellation of important fights and the controversy surrounding the introduction of the new sponsorship deal with Reebok. Even so, the company had satisfactory results in its 2015 financial statement, even breaking its own records.
According to the website “Wrestling Observer”, the company made a profit of US$157 million, equivalent to R$554 million according to the current price. This yields a margin of 25% and is more than double that obtained in 2014, when profit was US$73 million.
A few months ago, the UFC found itself involved in rumors regarding the sale of the organization. Currently, the company is owned by Zuffa, the brothers Lorenzo and Frank Fertitta, Dana White and a group from the Middle East.
