Withdrawn from UFC 198 last month after undergoing gallbladder surgery, Anderson Silva set UFC 200, in July, as a goal for his return to the octagon. However, the chances of the plans getting off the ground are small, according to his boxing coach Luiz Dórea.

Anderson recently returned to training at the X-Gym gym in Rio de Janeiro. If he actually had a fight scheduled for the beginning of July, the former champion's preparations should already be in full swing. According to Dórea, he told the North American website “MMA Fighting”, it is “very difficult” for the Brazilian to be selected to perform in the historic event.

Former dominant champion in the 84 kg category, Anderson is not going through a good phase. His last victory was in October 2012, when he beat Stephan bonnar in Rio de Janeiro. After that, the athlete lost twice to Chris Weidman, had an unsuccessful fight against Nick Diaz and was defeated again Michael Bisping.

UFC 200 will be held at the new T-Mobile Arena gym in Las Vegas (USA). The main fight of the event will be a duel between Daniel Cormier e Jon Jones, valid for the light heavyweight belt. On the same night, José Aldo face Frankie Edgar for the interim featherweight belt, and Miesha Tate defends women's bantamweight title against Amanda nunes.
