Bibiano loses belt
Dream held Dynamite 2010 this Friday morning (Brasília time), in Saitama, Japan. The traditional Japanese event, which takes place at the turn of the year, featured 14 fights lasting more than four hours. The show highlighted the Dutch alistair overeem, who was not aware of the revelation Todd Duffe and knocked out the North American just 19 seconds into the fight with a series of knees.
The only Brazilian at the event, Bibiano Fernandes faced the local athlete Hiroyuki takaya and ended up defeated in a unanimous decision by the judges. With the setback, the Tupiniquim black belt loses the Dream featherweight belt, which he has held since October 2009.
Another highlight of the show was the Japanese Satoshi Ishii. Beijing Olympics gold medalist judoka defeated French veteran Jerome le banner in the unanimous decision of the judges and achieved his fourth victory in MMA. Check out the full results of the event:
