Former bantamweight champion, Dominick Cruz He lives with physical problems and has already left several fights throughout his career due to injuries. Cruz's historical rival, Urijah faber, his opponent at UFC 199, next Saturday (04), made a point of taking precautions and, with a touch of provocation, said that he asked Ultimate to keep an eye on his rival so that he doesn't also leave the division title fight up to 61 kg.

“That was a concern I had. I have my doubts if he is training hard, he has a strange style and he competes in a sport he is not made for. So, I'm worried that he will abandon the duel. I asked the UFC to take extra measures to ensure that they have people helping him so he can fight with me”, said the “California Kid”, to the North American website “MMA Fighting”.

But Faber didn't stop there. The former WEC champion also accused his rival of using performance-enhancing substances. “Cruz is doped. I always understood this guy. I don't think about him much, but he spends a lot of time thinking about me and I think the reason is because I keep fighting. He's sitting around, doing nothing. Who knows what he's been up to? I've been fighting and I've been keeping my head focused. I think Cruz thinks he's better than he really is and I think that's pretty funny,” he concluded.

Cruz and Faber settle their differences in the octagon next Saturday, June 4, in Las Vegas (USA), in the co-main fight of UFC 199. The rivals have already faced each other twice before, with one victory each. Injuries, in fact, have already prevented the trilogy between the duo, which would take place in 2012, but never got off the ground, until now.
