Escalated to face Brandon vera at UFC-125, Thiago Silva will try to recover from the setback suffered to Rashad evans at UFC-108. The Brazilian, who found in MMA a way to free himself from marginalization and drugs, states that the sport, above anything, is a personal challenge.
“I don’t think MMA is violent! For me, a violent person is someone who kills another for a trivial reason”, said the Brazilian, in an interview with the North American newspaper Tapology. Thiago also revealed the importance that the fight has in his life.
“Fighting is everything to me. Two men enter, one man leaves. It is a physical, mental, emotional and spiritual challenge between two fighters. It’s a contest and only the strongest in all areas will emerge victorious,” he said.
“I'm fighting for my life and my family, I love the challenges offered by this sport. It’s different from any other,” he added.
The fight between Thiago Silva and Brandon Vera is on the main card of UFC-125, an event that takes place on January 1st, in Las Vegas, United States.
