A television commercial featuring Conor McGregor its broadcasting was banned by Irish broadcasters. The advertisement, for the Budweiser beer brand, ended up being vetoed by ASAI, an entity that has a similar function to CONAR in Brazil.

The ad itself doesn't have anything too controversial. The fighter appears walking in the streets saying inspiring phrases, such as “never give up on your dreams”, “be your own inspiration” and “if your dream doesn't scare you, it's not big enough”.
The commercial is part of the promotion of the “Dream Big” contest, organized by Budweiser and which will give the winner R$200 to live an unforgettable experience.
However, ASAI (whose acronym stands for Advertising Regulatory Authority of Ireland) claims that the piece could give the wrong image to the country's children, who see McGregor as an idol – especially for inviting him to a contest through a beer brand. Budweiser responded in a statement, claiming that the commercial was only broadcast on television at times aimed at adult audiences, but the ad was banned anyway.
UFC featherweight champion McGregor hasn't fought since March, when he was submitted by Nate diaz. In his category, the Irishman comes from a quick victory over José Aldo, in December of last year.
