Saffiedine receives medical clearance and is back at UFC Vegas

The Belgian, who faces Rick Story, had been cut from the event after problems with his knee

Typically, Ultimate events only receive bad news in the days leading up to them, with athletes being cut for a variety of reasons and hastily replaced by other names. Surprisingly, however, UFC Fight Night Vegas has just confirmed the return of an athlete originally removed from the program, the Belgian Tarec saffiedine.

Over the weekend, Saffiedine suffered a cut in the knee area and, because of the swelling resulting from the stitches, he announced his departure from the card. However, the visit to the UFC's official doctor, which should have been a mere formality, ended up culminating in his release to return to the fight against Rick Stoty on the main card of next Sunday's event (29).

UFC Fight Night 88, or UFC FN Vegas, takes place next Sunday (29), at Mandalay Bay, in Las Vegas (USA). In the main fight of the night, the bantamweight Thominhas Almeida has an undefeated duel against the North American cody garbrandt. In the co-main event, the former bantamweight champion Renan Barao go up to the feathers and face Jeremy Stephens.
