Werdum and the triangle that submitted Fedor
After finishing the beast Fedor Emelianenko, the brazilian Fabricio Werdum won the MMA Awards, the world's “Oscar of MMA”, for the fair triangle applied to the Russian. Now, the Brazilian black belt already has a date and opponent set for his return to the octagon.
As the fighter himself had informed the SUPER FIGHTS in August, Werdum's return to fighting will only happen in 2011, and already for a title fight. The Brazilian will face the Dutch alistair overeem in March of next year, in a duel valid for the Strikeforce heavyweight title.
Overeem has been undefeated for three years and is on a great streak of five consecutive victories, however, Werdum has already defeated his next opponent, at Pride 2006, when the Brazilian ended the fight with a fair armbar (Kimura).
