Greg Jackson responds to Dana White

After the bad performance of Nate marquardt at UFC-122, the organization's president, Dana White, publicly criticized the fighter's coach, Greg Jackson (remember here). Almost 15 days after the top hat's statements, the commander of Jackson's Submission Fighting responded to the leader's reprimand.

In an interview with the North American website MMA Fighting, Greg stated that his team does not fight just for results, as Dana had said.

PUBLICITY:

“Here’s a quick stat for you. There were 22 UFC events this year and my students received 12 bonuses. So, one of every two events, one of my fighters has the bonus for best fight, knockout or submission of the night,” said Jackson.

With significant numbers of his students, Jackson made a point of affirming the successful trajectory of his students and his academy.

PUBLICITY:

“Let’s look at the statistics. Jon Jones He finished every fight (he trained) with me in the first round, with the exception of the (fight) against Matt Hamill, for which he was disqualified. Carlos Condit there's a knockout and a fight of the night. Even guys from the preliminary card, who people still don't know very well. Kyle Noke, two submissions, both in the second round. There are no facts. They’re just making things up,” he said.

The coach also made it clear that Dana's statements were unfair and discouraged his work.

PUBLICITY:

“I wasn’t bothered by what Dana said. Fans are fans, but Dana saying that, you know, I worked hard in this organization. If you look at my stats, they're insane. Imagine giving your life for something, and your boss comes up to you and says 'Man, you're really bad'. Well, wait a minute, this year alone, half of your bonuses went to my guys. So what are you talking about? That was discouraging for me, anyway”, concluded the coach.

The next big challenge for a student of Greg Jackson in Ultimate will be at UFC-124, an event that takes place on December 12th and his student, Georges St Pierre, will defend the welterweight belt against Josh koscheck.
