The tragic death of Portuguese fighter João Carvalho last month is starting to have consequences on the European MMA scene. The BAMMA organization, based in England, started to increase medical requirements for all its fighters, which even forced an event to be postponed.

Now, all athletes who wish to compete for the organization must pass MRI exams, which show in detail the situation of internal organs and tissues. As the novelty will require some time to adapt, BAMMA 26, which would have been held on June 4th, was moved to September 10th. The event will take place in Dublin, Ireland, the same place that witnessed Carvalho's death.
