“I think Werdum has a little more tools in this fight. He has very good kickboxing, and his jiu-jitsu is one of the best in the sport, he's a very resilient guy, it's always difficult to take him out of the game. I think he has more weapons and will win this fight”, said the American of Mexican descent, in an interview with the “Combate” channel website.
In addition, Velasquez also spoke about his next fight and analyzed his confrontation with Travis Browne in July. “Travis Browne is a very tall guy, he has good kicks, he is very athletic fighting on his feet, he is strong, he has good takedown defense. If you try to get in the legs and wait too long, you have to be careful with your elbows. He’s a very dangerous guy,” assured Cain, who celebrated the chance to be part of the historic card. “I watched UFC 100 and that card was huge. This card is going to be even bigger than that one, and that's why I'm happy to be back and be part of this story,” he concluded.
