Overcome by Fabricio Werdum in June last year, when he lost the heavyweight title for the second time to a Brazilian, Cain Velazquez will restart his path towards the top of the division, facing Travis Browne at UFC 200. However, the fact that he has a commitment scheduled does not stop Velasquez from keeping an eye on what happens with the current champion of the Werdum category. Analyzing the fight between “Vai Cavalo” and Stipe Miocic, scheduled for UFC 198, in Curitiba (PR), Velasquez bet on a triumph for his tormentor.

“I think Werdum has a little more tools in this fight. He has very good kickboxing, and his jiu-jitsu is one of the best in the sport, he's a very resilient guy, it's always difficult to take him out of the game. I think he has more weapons and will win this fight”, said the American of Mexican descent, in an interview with the “Combate” channel website.

In addition, Velasquez also spoke about his next fight and analyzed his confrontation with Travis Browne in July. “Travis Browne is a very tall guy, he has good kicks, he is very athletic fighting on his feet, he is strong, he has good takedown defense. If you try to get in the legs and wait too long, you have to be careful with your elbows. He’s a very dangerous guy,” assured Cain, who celebrated the chance to be part of the historic card. “I watched UFC 100 and that card was huge. This card is going to be even bigger than that one, and that's why I'm happy to be back and be part of this story,” he concluded.
