Former world boxing champion, British Amir Khan, who will have one of the biggest fights of 2016 on May 7th against Saul Canelo Alvarez placeholder image, does not rule out a possible transition to MMA in the future. And if the change of sport happens, Khan already knows who he wants to face: the Irishman Conor McGregor.

“I've always been a UFC fan and I really like McGregor. But if I were to fight the champion at around 66 kg, I imagine my chances, whether against McGregor or anyone else”, said the Briton, to the “Daily Star” website. “I've already done some MMA training. It’s great to train MMA to prepare for a guy like Canelo, to put pressure on him,” he added.
Amir Khan has a boxing record of 31 wins and just three losses. Former world champion and current holder of international belts from the World Boxing Council, the Englishman has won five consecutive victories. The duel between Khan and Canelo Alvarez placeholder image, on May 7th, will be the first major sporting event at the brand new T-Mobile Arena, in Las Vegas (USA), which will host UFC 200.
