In the early hours of this Monday (25), the Irishman Conor McGregor took the MMA community by surprise when he said he had been reinstated to the UFC 200 card, in which he would face Nate diaz. Conor's statement, however, was promptly denied by president Dana White, who assured that the Irishman will remain off the July 9th card.

"This is not true. We haven't spoken to Conor or his manager since the press conference (for UFC 200 last Friday). I don’t know why he would tweet that”, said the director, to the North American newspaper “Los Angeles Times”. On the website “TMZ”, White was even more emphatic. “I don't know how many more times I'll have to say that the fight won't happen. I don't know how many more press conferences I will have to attend to say this and have people believe it. For the last time, Conor McGregor is 100% out of UFC 200”, he assured.

In his official profile at Twitter, McGregor even thanked Dana White for arranging his return to the card. ““I'm happy to announce that I'm BACK at UFC 200! Shout out to Dana White and Lorenzo Fertitta for making this happen for the fans. #respect”, wrote the fighter, whose message was replicated almost 80 thousand times in less than ten hours.

UFC 200 takes place on July 9th, at the “T-Mobile Arena”, in Las Vegas (USA). Currently without a main fight, the event has two belt fights confirmed for its schedule: the interim featherweight title fight between José Aldo e Frankie Edgar and the first defense of the belt of Miesha Tate against the Brazilian Amanda nunes.
