Cormier analyzes Jones' performance at UFC 197: 'No chance of beating me'

The more discreet performance of Jon Jones before Ovince St Preux at UFC 197 divided opinions among fans and made many wonder what would have happened if the former champion had faced Daniel Cormier instead of OSP. Cormier himself commented on his rival's performance and, despite praising his return to the octagon, said that the “new version” of Jones would not stand a chance against him.

“He did his job. Many times, most guys can't perform at their best, they lose. They can't do that. So this shows how special Jon is. Having said that, it was very disappointing that I didn't compete tonight because I believe that if he showed the form he had tonight, or if this is the new Jon Jones, there is no way this guy can beat me”, said Cormier, during an appearance on the North American channel “FOX Sports 1”.
