The output of Conor McGregor of UFC 200, motivated by a major controversy sparked by the Irishman's refusal to attend promotional events on the card, will cost him much more than the loss of the chance to meet again. Nate diaz in the octagon and the deterioration of his relationship with the top leadership of Ultimate. According to the North American press, McGregor will lose no less than US$10 million (around R$35 million at current prices) for not performing on July 9th.

According to the website “TMZ”, the millionaire amount refers to the scholarship that would be paid by the UFC to the athlete to perform. The publication also says that the organization would have spared no effort to keep McGregor on the card and, to this end, tried not to disrupt his training routine – the main point behind the impasse, as raised by the Irishman in his long outburst published on social media.
Among the “perks” offered by Ultimate to Conor would be a private jet at the fighter's disposal so that he could travel around the United States promoting UFC 200. Furthermore, a special structure, with staff and equipment, would be set up so that Conor would not stop training even during your appointment schedule. Even with all the concessions, McGregor said no and ended up being cut from the event.
Even without McGregor x Nate diaz and with a big unknown hanging over its main fight, UFC 200 will still have its first press conference held this Friday (22), starting at 18pm (Brasília time), in Las Vegas (USA), moments before the UFC 197 weigh-in. The expectation is that news about the event – or, ultimately, about Conor's situation – will be released at the event.
